ACE Insurance Introduces New Product

May 7 - ACE Insurance, one of the leading travel insurance groups, has launched a new product that it hopes will change the way travelers are covered on their trips.

Travel Superior is a comprehensive product that will essentially increase the overall limits of insurance cover, increase the amount for baggage and double the amount of cancellation cover.

"Regardless of the nature of the business trip, the traveler will require a certain level of insurance cover to protect them in the event of cancellations, lost baggage and most importantly, potential medical and related expenses," said the Manager for Accident and Health Insurance at ACE South Africa, Gary Jack.

Speaking about the new product, Jack said: "The premiums on this product are a little higher given that the risks covered are more extensive, but we have worked to ensure sound value for money."

In addition, security experts will provide those covered by ACE Insurance's Travel Superior with the highest level of safety and security.

"Business class security assistance will not only put together a bespoke report on a particular country, pointing out what to do, what not to do and what the potential dangers of that particular nation are, but will provide hands on security where necessary," explained Gary Jack.

He said that, as an example, if a traveler was stranded in post-earthquake Haiti and the Commonwealth Office issued a travel advisory, business class security assistance would provide policyholders with evacuation services, while costs would be covered.
