IRMSA Running Sound Risk Management Event
March 8 - The Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) is running a useful workshop for those interested in the concept of sound risk management.
IRMSA explains the concept as such:
"Sound risk management is about adopting a simple yet robust, practical and common sense approach based on ensuring that the basic building blocks of risk are in place."
"Furthermore it is about engendering an understanding of risk that places substance over form and creates a culture in which risk management becomes second nature rather than something one strives to achieve."
As such, IRMSA is running a breakfast seminar on March 11th at the Johannesburg Country Club in Woodmead, with the focus being on sound risk management.
The seminar will be headed by Lionel Burger, the senior enterprise-wide risk manager with Nedbank.
Burger has a long history of experience in the banking, governance and compliance sectors of the industry.
Colleagues in the insurance industry are invited to attend the breakfast seminar on March 11th.
Guests will be served a light breakfast before the presentation, which promises to be outstanding.
More information can be obtained on the IRMSA website at www.irmsa.org.za.
