Jet Promotes Insurance Education
September 23 - In a welcome attempt to educate consumers and introduce them
to insurance and other financial services in layman's terms, Jet Stores have put together an information booklet aimed to reach 1 million households
around the country.
The company said that the 32 page booklet will be sent out with its Jet Club
Magazine and that consumers will be able to benefit from the information
regarding insurance products and tips.
"Jet Club Mag is not only concerned with fashion and beauty, but also has a
firm focus on delivering content that meets the needs of our target audience,
helping our readers to make quality decisions regarding their personal finances,
careers and parenting," said the Manager for Jet Club, Antashia Sassman.
"We regularly poll our readers to determine their primary needs and the
financial services booklet is certainly a current priority, given the economic
environment we are experiencing," she added.
The booklet will help South African consumers understand how best the
insurance products available on the market can work for them.
Over 1.4 million members of the Jet Club will be able to receive the booklet
free of charge and it is believed that 3.5 million people will eventually read
it.
The booklet will be made available in Zulu and English for maximum exposure.
South African households are battling the effects of the recession, including
unemployment. Insurance companies are reporting that a growing number of
consumers are not renewing their policies as they are unable to meet the costs.
It is hoped that the booklet can help policyholders make the crucial decision
of staying insured, and presenting them with the opportunity of shopping around
for the best prices on the market.
