Lloyds South Africa Insurance
Lloyds South Africa is a division of the legendary Lloyds of London,
arguably the world`s leading insurance company - a specialist risk insurance
provider, known for insuring anything and anyone, and in existence since the
year 1688. South Africa is one of the more than 200 countries where the company
operates. Lloyds South Africa is a wholly owned subsidiary of its parent
company. As such it is the official office of Lloyds in the South Africa,
mandated to conduct the company`s business in this territory.
Lloyds South Africa undertakes a variety of responsibilities in the
South African insurance market, including many regulatory and remedial
functions, as well as maintaining and building relationships with underwriters
and other stakeholders. The office is a comprehensive service provider on behalf
of Lloyds. This includes reviewing client applications and handling run-off
arrangements, dealing with customer service issues and market development. It
also deals with many of the day-to-day administrative functions, like premium
collection, claims processing, collection of taxes from clients for payment to
the relevant authorities, monitoring of overseas trust funds and liaising with
SASRIA. The office is therefore a conduit through which the Corporation of
Lloyds offers its full spectrum of services to the South African market.
Internationally, Lloyds provides a vast range of insurance services,
specialising in covering complex risks that are difficult to price and quantify.
The company prides itself on its ability to insure some of the most unique,
difficult and largest risks - from insuring the Olympic Games, to the rebuilding
of Iraq and quirkier items like supermodels` legs and musicians` hands. Lloyds
has become the first choice for anyone who needs to insure something that is not
easily covered by conventional insurance packages, or that involves risks that
other insurance companies are not prepared to cover. Related Insurance Articles: - AA Insurance - MiWay Insurance - Zurich Insurance - Unitrans Insurance - Natsure Insurance - Rand Mutual Assurance - Renasa Insurance - Lion of Africa Insurance
