New Brand ID Unveiled for OMAC
October 7 - Old Mutual's division that provides consulting services to
retirement funds, known as Old Mutual Actuaries and Consultants (OMAC),
has undergone a makeover, and has unveiled a new brand identity.
The new brand, which will carry the motto: "Provoking Thought, Engineering
Success", will feature a number of excellent new changes, including a new name
and logo.
"Ultimately, the retirement fund industry has evolved and what worked
yesterday is not necessarily working today," said the Head of OMAC, Craig
Aitchison. "We felt it was time to re-think the traditional consulting approach
and specifically "one size fits all" solutions."
"It is now very much about the bottom line for individual members of a fund
as opposed to the fund itself," he added.
One of the new directions that the service will be taking is asking more
questions so that clients can reach the right plan of action together with OMAC.
Aitchison said that OMAC has taken the idea of questioning things and
expanded on it in a thought provoking way.
"We want to get clients to think about just how powerful the question really
is, and how OMAC has harnessed this power in order to offer service and insights
that are a little different to the norm," he said.
Changes have been made to OMAC's team of expert consultants, as well as the
addition of actuarial resources from Old Mutual Healthcare.
"The enormous amount of hours put in by the Retirement Unit has catapulted
OMAC's service provider selection capability to a market leader position," said
Aitchison. "They have also turned our valuations into more than just statutory
valuations, but ones that measure overall cost effectiveness of funds and how
this impacts on member benefits."
